Scholarly concept video

01:16

In this 1- to 2-hour project, students create (record and edit) a scholarly concept video: an activity in which they introduce and explain a key term or tension from course readings, demonstrate a core practice or method covered in course materials, or contextualize a critical idea or perspective touched on in class discussions.

Because Adobe Premiere Pro offers great affordances in the video editing process, it can help you creatively engage with course ideas and present them in critical, yet colorful and dynamic, ways. This project can be adapted for use with Adobe Premiere Rush.

This project was created by Dr. Justin Hodgson, an Adobe Master Teacher, Adobe Education Leader, Associate Professor of Digital Rhetoric at Indiana University, Founding Editor of JUMP+ (jumpplus.net), and Project Lead for Online Composition at IU.
