This project creates a space for students to learn some basic adjustments archivists make to photographs and documents when they scan (or “digitize”) them. It is great for first-time Adobe Photoshop users, and teaches practical skills students can highlight when applying for jobs or internships in the field of Public History.
Adobe Photoshop allows you to make subtle adjustments to photographs to make the scanned image look closer to the original.
This strategy was created by Dr. Molly Todd and Latin American Historian and Jacey Anderson, a PhD candidate in History at Montana State University, and Adobe Master Teachers.
