This 1- to 2-hour project asks students to produce a 30-second video exploring the everyday relevance of science in their lives. In addition to demonstrating understanding of a STEM concept, the activity also aims to increase student interest in STEM and support the growth of STEM identity. The project is designed for Adobe Premiere Rush.
Adobe Premiere Rush enables students to easily organize imagery to form a linear visual argument. This strategy requires students to think quickly, critically and creatively to identify a set of images that can visually communicate their ideas.
This project was created by Dr. Stephen Moysey, an Adobe Master Teacher and an Associate Professor of Environmental Engineering and Earth Sciences who teaches and performs research in geoscience education.
