In this 5-hour project, students make a video to market their skills, which they will edit in Adobe Premiere Rush. Students write a script detailing their experience with the skills they are pitching, develop a storyboard, film their video, and record a voiceover. Using Adobe Premiere Rush, students edit the video. In addition to being easy to share on social media, these videos make the perfect addition to a landing page on a personal website. They help students understand how to frame their work, which will aid them in interviews as well.
Because Adobe Premiere Rush is easy to use, students do not need previous experience with the program to make a video of professional quality. This project can be adapted for use with other Adobe products.
This project was created by Amaris Ketcham, an Adobe Master Teacher and Associate Professor of interdisciplinary liberal arts at the University of New Mexico Honors College.
