This multi-day strategy helps students plan, arrange, and deliver extensively researched ideas to an audience beyond the classroom by producing an 8- to 10-minute video essay in Adobe Premiere Pro. You can use this strategy as a standalone project, as a culminating assignment in a course-long research project, or as a multimodal companion to a traditionally written research paper. While guidance below features advanced production techniques in Premiere Pro, a beginner to intermediate version of this strategy can be completed in Premiere Rush.
Because Adobe Premiere Pro enables immense creative control and offers a range of powerful video editing tools, this strategy empowers students to visualize and articulate their ideas in innovative, technically sophisticated, and meaningful ways.
