Postcards, art, and empathy project

01:01

This 3-hour project, inspired by artist Frank Warren’s Post Secret Postcard project, builds community and help students to learn masking techniques in Adobe Photoshop. Students anonymously submit secrets for a classmate to interpret and visually represent through the construction of imagery.

Adobe Photoshop fosters creative thinking and problem solving. This strategy empowers students to demonstrate the use of creativity to foster empathy.

This project was created by Megan Jacobs, an Adobe Master Teacher, Adobe Education Leader, and Associate Professor in the honors college at the University of New Mexico and a practicing artist.
