This 5-hour project helps students propose a research trajectory by creating a 3-minute video in Adobe Premiere Rush. You can use this strategy as a step in a larger research project that follows preliminary investigation of a topic. It could also serve as an introduction to video essay production. While guidance below will focus on intermediate-level proficiency in Premiere Rush.
Adobe Premiere Rush’s user-friendly interface and easy-to-use editing tools allow students to quickly create sophisticated videos without feeling overwhelmed by the software, empowering them to experiment with and explore the affordances of multimodal composition.
This project was created by Shauna Chung, an Adobe Master Teacher and PhD candidate in the Rhetorics, Communication, and Information Design program at Clemson University.
