This 5-hour project is designed for teachers in training, and introduces them to Adobe XD as a rapid prototyping tool. XD is a powerful tool for creating a prototype of an application (app).
XD is designed to save weeks if not months of programming time when developing what an app will look like and how it will function. This project can be used with students in a computer science course who will code the app after developing the prototype. It can also be used in a technology or science class to introduce students to interface design.
Because XD provides the ability to creatively visualize an application, this project empowers students to demonstrate their understanding of how apps are developed in a deep and meaningful way.
This project was created by Dr. Christopher G. Johnson an Adobe Master Teacher who teaches educational technology and instructional design at the University of Arizona, and is a thought leader in the intersection of physical and digital learning environments.
